finding my identity.

First I would like to take a moment to say thank you to everyone who drops by to view this blog.

Blogging for me is a new experience. but after following the works of Unbearable Lightness, Iris, A.J. Kahn, and so many others of the art community I decided to begin my journey.

for my first blog I was at a conundrum. I did not know what to write, or in my humble opinion feel I had anything to share.

but after watching a video last night on Ansel Adams. I chose to start with a self exploration.
for those who are just meeting me for the first time.
I'm a 40 y/o husband, and father. and after 10 years in the automotive industry. I chose to return to school, and change careers for a path in medicine. but somewhere along the way. I found this dark, and congested path i call art.

Against the wishes of my wife, and family I chose to leave the well traveled path society layed out for me, and to follow the path least used.

over the last 2 years the journey has been painful, fustrating, and even depressing at moment, but I also feel like I have found the most rewarding career of my life. photo shoots like the one's with UBL, and Remi, and some of the other amazing people who I have meet on my journey have givin me a sence of direction, and purpose.

Art, and especially Photography has awaken a part of my I did not know existed, and helped to transform me in ways, I did not even know existed.

so first I want to thank each of the people who have shared their time, and wisdom in helping me grow as a photographer. not everything we have done has worked, but I hae certainly learned from each experience.
